Matthew is a licensed architect with a broad range of experience from small hospital suite renovations to new high-rise residence halls. He has a particular passion for schematic design, as it allows him to use his creative energy in coming up with larger ideas and concepts. He then utilizes his acute attention to detail and problem-solving skills in the detailing of construction documents to effectively and confidently reinforce these concepts. Matthew enjoys the processes of using simple materials – steel, brick, wood, concrete, glass – and creating something that transcends the parts and forms a wholistic solution. He finds inspiration in combining the aspirations of clients with the adjacent social, economic, and environmental context to inform what the architecture wants and needs to be.
